Why We Built This Site
Kansas provides several public access channels, but they do different jobs. Kansas CaseSearch offers public index information; the courthouse terminal can expose additional public material; and the Cheyenne County Clerk of the District Court handles document and certified-copy requests. Municipal ordinance records remain with the relevant city court unless a later filing reaches District Court. This site organizes those distinctions, contact details, search methods, and request steps in one place.
What You Will Find Here
- Docket guides: how criminal dockets and civil dockets are searched and read in Cheyenne County
- Court dates and settings: how to read the court calendar and confirm a hearing date or setting
- Case lookups: how to run a case search by party name or case number through the statewide portal
- Record requests: how court records and certified copies are requested from the clerk of court
What We Cannot Do
This is a privately run reference site. We have no connection to any Kansas court, clerk of court, or state agency. There are real limits to what we can help with:
- We cannot pull an official docket sheet or case file for anyone
- We cannot change, reschedule, or reset a court date or hearing setting
- We cannot remove, seal, or amend a case on any docket
- We cannot issue certified copies of any docket, order, or court document
- We cannot give legal advice or explain how a specific case applies to you
- We cannot guarantee that every phone number, fee, or setting listed on this site is current right now
Only the clerk of court or the trial court that heard the case can issue an official or certified copy of a docket sheet or court record. We can point you to the right office, but the document has to come from them.
Search Partners
Third-party providers power search boxes found on some pages. They operate independently, determine their own prices, and control their results. A paid signup reached through one of those tools may produce a referral fee that supports this free site, but this site does not control the provider's coverage, matching, or charges.
